FAQs of the ELD Mandate

What is the ELD Mandate?

For the safety of truck drivers on the road, there has always been a Hours of Service mandate. This daily logging of driver hours is now required to be done electronically, via an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) that is fixed onto the truck and connected to the electronic control module.

The ELDs allows drivers to focus on safe driving by making tracking, logging and managing hours, easier.

The ELD Mandate had been in affect in the U.S since December 2019, and will be taking affect in Canada by June 12, 2021.
